Joesph M. Ogundu, CEO/President

Joseph M. Ogundu, the Chief Executive Officer and President of ESTG, is a highly motivated professional with strong academic background and more that 20 years of automotive and non-automotive experience in Engineering, Operations Management, Lean Manufacturing and Quality Management, Program/Project Management, Strategy Development, Supply Chain Management and Supplier Quality, Risk Management, Business Turnaround and Restructuring.

This former executive of the automotive and recreation vehicle industries, has hands on experience in development and implementation of strategic management solutions based on lean manufacturing and total quality management. His contributions have helped several companies improve quality, operational efficiency, cash flow and profitability. Also, this executive has worked with several companies to execute turnaround strategies that led to their continued viability.

Prior to the current assignment, Joseph Ogundu worked with Country Coach Inc., a leading high end recreational vehicle manufacturer, as Executive Director of Lean Manufacturing Management, Quality, Warranty and Compliance. Prior to joining Country Coach Inc., Mr. Ogundu worked at Chrysler Corporation for nine years, Ford Motor Company for 4.5 years and General Motors Corporation for two Years where he rose to the positions of Manager of Lean manufacturing Management/Manufacturing Engineering, Senior Manufacturing/Facilities Engineer and Senior Product Engineer respectively.

Mr. Joseph M. Ogundu received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Lawrence Technological University, Southfield, Michigan; Master of Science in Manufacturing Engineering from Wayne State University in Detroit Michigan; A bachelor of Science Degree fro University of Tennessee in Knoxville Tennessee and is currently on track to complete a Doctor of Engineering in Manufacturing Systems by December of 2010 from Lawrence Technological University in Southfield Michigan.
 
Leadership and Entrepreneurship

§Launched successful entrepreneurial Engineering Services and Technical Group (ESTG) management consulting firm specializing in restructuring major corporations and introducing lean management solutions to improve client’s financial positions, streamline workflow processes, total quality managementand strengthen operational viability.

§Led lean manufacturing management team and saved over $100 million for DaimlerChrysler plants.

§Member of Strategy and Implementation team that developed, constructed and launched an approximately $1.2 billion vehicle manufacturing assembly plant for DaimlerChrysler in Toledo, Ohio.

§Formed a new department for major manufacturing company which consisted of individuals specializing in manufacturing engineering, lean manufacturing management systems, quality engineering, and supplier quality assurance systems, with departmental budget of over $10 million.

§Led a department of over 120 employees with one director and 5 engineering/quality assurance managers with responsibility to oversee multiple production facilities and processes, manufacturing engineering, quality assurance, supplier quality, industry/government regulatory and warranty.

§Led a successful turnaround of automotive component suppliers and furniture manufacturers with multiple facilities in United States and Mexico.

Process Improvement and Cost Reduction

§Saved approximately $3 million and improved FTC from 80% to 98% through process and tooling optimization and led a cross functional team to develop and implement Modular Instrument Panel System with savings of $26 million over five (5) years at DaimlerChrysler.

§Conducted product, process and operating systems benchmarking of several OEM and suppliers in both North America and Europe. Among the companies benchmarked were: Mercedes Benz in Stuttgart, Germany and Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Volkswagen Audi facility in Ingolstadt, Germany; Toyota facility in Georgetown, Kentucky; Nissan facility in Smyrna, Tennessee; Delphi facility in Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Heller Bahr facility in Stuttgart, Germany; Faurecia facility in Ingolstadt, Germany; Magna facilities in Altbach, Germany; Mercedes Benz/Magna facility in Gratz, Austria and Mercedes Benz Facility in Singelfingen, Germany.

§ Integrated clients production development and manufacturing operations systems resulting in a 50% decrease to production error risk.
