LEAN PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Lean Project Management is the amalgamation of lean manufacturing management and project management to meet project goals through effective plans, organization, motivation, direction and control. This is the process of managing the entire project from inception to completion while ensuring the customer’s interest is continually represented.
In any organization, it is the responsibility of project management to oversee the totality of the project with a focus on lead time improvement, cost reduction and quality improvement. The focus to improve project timing, reduce project cost and improve quality through the elimination of waste or non-value added activities led to the development of Lean Project Management.
